Back on Hwy 9, proceed east 61 km (36.6 mi) to Hanna. Look for the giant grey goose at the town entrance, a tribute to the bird hunting so popular in this area. Hanna Pioneer Village & Museum presents a ranch house, country store, church, hospital and CNR station, old-time cars and steam tractors. Daily 10 am - 6 pm in summer. Admission charged, 854-4244. Prairie Oasis Park by the Sheerness Power Plant offers water recreation, camping and a wildlife sanctuary. East of Hanna 50 km (30 mi) and south on Hwy 884 at Youngstown is Blood Indian Park, another spot on the prairie known for rainbow trout fishing. Boat and tackle rentals and random camping on-site, 779-3733.
